It was around this period that I was doing some of my most detailed and complicated tattoo work.
The main theme was layered abstract graphics, done freehand ie. drawn on by hand before tattooing, with some areas tattooed without any drawing. Some work was done using stencils/transfers, such as the ‘Where the wild things are’ piece ( a couple of images are included).
The demands of this type of work meant that I was mentally and physically tired, all the time. Being so fatigued, I put little effort into getting good photos of the work, resulting in many poorly exposed and out of focus shots. As I’ve mentioned before, documenting the work wasn’t usually a priority for me.
Not the best shots, but enough to give you an idea.
This was definitely a challenging but fun period.
Thanks for looking.
