2016 was a year of good work but crummy photos!
I was definitely beginning to feel burnt out, which didn’t help my usual on/off mood
My all or nothing nature and inability to create balance was finally beginning to take its toll. I barely had enough energy to do my work, and not much else, and I was beginning to become withdrawn and irritable. On top of that, my lack of interest in documenting the work was getting worse, as were my photos.
That certainly didn’t help my marketing, because I didn’t really care about the tattoo business anymore. Things had become too serious, too noisy, and all about branding and marketing. That’s just not what I’m about. It was time to retreat back into the shadows.
Despite all that, I’m super happy with all the work I did in this period.
